Solutions that work.....
Established in June, 1965 by our founder Walter Fischer, our business is now run by the third generation of the Fischer family. Our family business is proud to offer our customers the unique service of seeing projects from the concept stage, through the design and drawing process, to the manufacture of the control panels, including custom engraved nameplates, to testing, and installation and on-going Industrial electrical service.
We have designed and manufactured control panels for many companies within the automotive industry such as General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Honda and both Toyota plants in Cambridge and Woodstock. We have built panels for sewage treatment plants all across North America, medical compressed air and vacuum systems for hospitals, as well as controls for pumping water in high rise apartments and office buildings all across Canada.
Our company has built many machine tool control panels for custom machinery used in all types of manufacturing, process controls for the petro chemical industry, breweries, plastics industry, as well as many motors and control panels for saw dust collection in the wood working industry. We have also been involved in complete modular design control house packages for electrostatic precipitators for flue gas cleaning at thermal power generating stations.

Over the past 10 years we have continuously employed 35 people on a regular basis. One of the keys to our success has been our dedicated and loyal employees. With over half of our staff being with us for over 15 years, we can offer our customers many years of experience.

OUR LOCATIONS
34 AINSLIE STREET (1965 - 1969)
In May 1965, Water Fischer and his son Wayne sat on the front porch of Walter’s house and came up with 5 names for the new proposed company to submit to the Government with their first choice, Engineered Electric Controls, being approved. The business officially started on June 22, 1965, at 34 Ainslie Street in Galt, in a 1050 square foot facility. The main floor was the shop and the office was upstairs. It all began with 3 full-time employees and a part-time secretary. Engineered Electric Controls started out as a control panel shop; Wayne joined the company in 1968 and we then added Industrial Electrical Contracting to our services.
611 HESPELER ROAD (1969 - 1974)
In the Spring of 1969 we moved to 611 Hespeler Road, which was a large facility of approximately 2,000 square feet. At this point in time, Hespeler Road/Highway 24 was only 2 lanes and there were cows in the field where the Cambridge Centre shopping mall is currently located.
230 SHELDON DRIVE (1974 - NOW)
In the fall of 1973 we purchased the land of 230 Sheldon Drive and construction began in May of 1974 on a 5,000 square foot building.
In 1981 another addition was added onto the front of the building and the office area was doubled in size bringing the total square footage of Engineered Electron Controls up to 12,000 square feet.
In the fall of 1995, construction began on the 10,000 square foot addition of another high bay and loading docks to make room for the Teco-Westinghouse Motor warehouse.
In 2003, a further addition of 3960 square feet began, complete with a crane bay to accommodate additional manufacturing and motor warehouse needs. Forty one years since we first broke ground at 230 Sheldon Drive, our facility now has close to 30,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse, and office space.
